Owners may replace damaged or rotting siding with one of the following products:
- Western Red Cedar Lap Siding (Stained)
- James Hardie Plank Lap Siding (Cedar Mill Texture)
- LP SmartSide (Cedar Texture)
- Allura Lap Siding (Traditional Lap)
All siding must have a 5 ½ inch reveal.
Complementing trim products may be used. No other brand of fiber cement siding will be approved.
Additionally, no vinyl siding will be approved. Prior to replacement, an Architectural ticket must be submitted.
Exterior Painting:

Units may paint their units individually (without other units’ participation) provided that the paint is the Sherwin Williams acrylic latex satin finish paint (not woodscapes color stain).
The unit owner should ensure that contractors bidding on the work are licensed, insured, and capable of performing the work. It is suggested that contracts include a clause that requires all products to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s suggestion and recommendations.
Each unit owner is required to complete an on-line architectural change request prior to the commencement of work. After architectural committee approval; painting can begin.
Paint Requirements:
Sherwin Williams Acrylic latex satin finish paint is the approved product by the Architectural Committee. This is the only products that should be used when painting the exterior of any building at Villages of Wisp.
