Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations should be posted in your Unit in a prominent location.
Please be advised this is only a small listing of the most commonly asked about rules, refer to the By-Laws for all Rules and Regulations
Parking: The parking areas are for the owners of Villages of Wisp, their guests and renters. Each unit is limited to two (2) vehicles. This policy will be strictly enforced, with violators being towed at the owner's expense. Short-term, off-site parking is available at the end of Marsh Hill Road in the boat dock access lot and in the McHenry Cove Lot. Firewood: Firewood should be stacked at the rear of your unit. No logs larger than 3" in diameter should be placed in the fireplace. The fireplace flue must be opened when a fire is built and should remain open until the fire is completely out. The flue control is located inside the firebox, top center. The air inlet control is located to the left of the firebox opening on the outside of the fireplace. Both should be closed when the fireplace is not in use.
Heating: Thermostats should be set at 55 degrees when the unit is left unoccupied for an extended period. Heat should be on from October until May to avoid freezing pipes.
Appliances: Appliances should be unplugged if the unit is left unoccupied for an extended period.
Pets: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after all pets. Lights: External lights should be turned off when not in use.
Noise: To avoid excessive noise and unreasonable late night activity, all music, etc. should be turned down after 10 p.m..... to a level that will not disturb your neighbors. Guests should be reminded to exit quietly after this hour, as noisy outside activity on decks or in the parking areas will not be tolerated.
Water: The main water valve and a circuit breaker controlling the hot water heater are located in the ground-level utility room. Both should be turned off when the unit is unoccupied. The water system should be drained if the unit will be unoccupied for an extended period, especially between October and May.
Trash:

Dumpsters are provided for household trash only. All trash should be placed in plastic bags, tied and deposited in the dumpsters. Please do not deposit loose trash in the dumpsters and be sure to close the dumpster lids to prevent animals from accessing trash.

Grills, etc. All grills, lawn furniture, tables, etc., should be stored inside or at the rear of your unit. Such items left in the front of any unit will be moved at the owner's expense. Grills should be used at ground level and not on balconies.
McHenry Cove: This "private park" is the for enjoyment of residents, their guests, and renters of VOW exclusively. The Cove has three boat slips . . . one for day use only and two can be reserved on an overnight basis. The parking lot is available for day use only, but overflow parking on Holiday weekends is allowed. Trailers: Trailer parking is not permitted in any VOW parking area. Temporary, short-term trailer parking is available at the boat dock site at the end of Marsh Hill Road as space permits.
